I am the Rake. Better start running. It won't do you much good, but I do prefer a good old fashioned chase.

((Independent RP blog for the supernatural creature the Rake, from creepypasta and from EverymanHybrid. Will RP with anyone. FC is Jared Padalecki.))

The Rake?

Is that supposed to impress me?

I… I’m afraid I haven’t heard of you.

Ah, unfortunately there are many who haven’t heard of me. Its sad really. I suppose I could always enlighten you…

Something tells me I’d enjoy that significantly less than you would.

Oh, trust me, it would be very fun…*takes a few steps towards her*

*takes a few steps back* I think I’d rather just take your word for it. Thanks, though.

*continues to walk towards her* Oh no, you’ve come onto my territory. The least you can do is sit back and enjoy a nice little tale of who I am.

Hello…

Hello there…who are you and why are you in my territory?

*raises an eyebrow* Your territory? … I’m Natalie Rushman, personal assistant to Tony Stark, and I wasn’t aware of this being your territory.

Yes, my territory. I am the Rake.

Rake winced and let out a hiss of pain as he was slammed into something else. He shook his head and turned to look at Gabriel, glaring slightly. “Fine. I knew she was yours and I still went after her. She was the first one I came across who I knew would give into my taunts. I was looking for some fun, and I believe I found it,” he said with a twisted smirk, thinking he couldn’t get himself in more trouble.

Right after he said it, he felt Gabriel’s knee slam into his stomach and he doubled over slightly before being pinned to the wall. His eyes widened as he saw the wings unfold. “What…how are…” he started to question. Oh, this was not going to be fun.

“You’ve got quite the death wish, brat.”  He said, smirking as the creature finally realized just how much shit he was in.  “I’m the God of Lies.  I’m good at hiding things, and it just turns out this one was a doozy.”  Gabriel let a bit of his grace collect in his hands and he walked up to the pinned creature, allowing it to burn his face as a brief preview of what was to come to him.  “And guess what.”  He returned a mocking version of the twisted smirk the Rake had just sent at him.  “You know my big brother Lucifer?”  Two grace-filled fingers went up the Rake’s nose.  “Taught me everything I know.  And I mean everything.”

Rake let out a small yell as the grace burned his flesh. “Fuck,” he snarled under his breath, glaring at him. He used the glare to try and hide the fear in his eyes, but it shone through bright as day at the mention of Lucifer. “What are you going to do me?” he finally managed to question, squirming under Gabriel’s grip. He knew he was fucked. This couldn’t end well at all. Hell, he’d be surprised if he got out of this thing alive at all.

Rake knew what was coming when Gabriel grabbed him by the neck and he shrunk back slightly. He knew he couldn’t exactly fight back against him, he wouldn’t have much of an effect. Rake let out a slight yelp as his head was slammed against something hard and his eyes squeezed shut in pain. “I was just having a bit of fun,” he muttered out. Well, that statement only proved that Rake wasn’t exactly good at choosing his words properly. “I didn’t know she was under your protection,” he quickly lied.

“Your only saving grace would have been to tell the odin-be-damned truth but even now it seems you’re really unintelligent.”  Gabriel slammed his face into something else with a sneer.  “I’m the god of lies, dumbass.  Even if you lied well, I’d know you were being deceitful.  Try again.”  He snarled.  “You knew she was under my protection and still you disobeyed.  So we’re gonna have a long night, you and me.”  He slammed his knee into the creature’s abdomen and used his power to pin him to the nearby wall, smirking.  “And being the god of deceit, I’ve been hiding something.  Something I’m going to find very useful.”  He unfurled his six wings and shook them out a little.

“Ever heard of the Archangel Gabriel?”  He held his arms out, palms facing towards the creature.  “Surprise.”

Rake winced and let out a hiss of pain as he was slammed into something else. He shook his head and turned to look at Gabriel, glaring slightly. “Fine. Rake glanced up at Gabriel as he appeared. He couldn’t say he wasn’t somewhat surprised at his appearance, but he didn’t let it show. He continued to lean against the tree, grinning slightly and turning his gaze to the ground. “And what rule did I break?” he asked with a smirk, his tone somewhat teasing. He knew exactly what he had done, but he wasn’t prepared to admit to it flat out.

Gabriel let out a mock laugh, looking around briefly before stalking up to the creature and picking him up off of the floor by the neck.  “That girl was under my protection, you son of a bitch.  Somehow every other chaotic creature knows to steer clear of those but you.  Clearly I have to beat it into your stupid, animalistic head.”  He promptly slammed the Rake’s face into the nearest hard surface so hard it left a dent.  “I’ll make sure it sticks really well into your brain.”

Rake leaned against a tree with a smirk. That had been a bit more successful than he had been expecting. He had just returned to his territory after going after some young woman in the city. He wasn’t very hungry for that day, so he decided to just go with another little pastime of his. Rake had chosen a fairly random woman off of the street to harass, had chased her down an alley. Really, he was able to pick up on the way she stared down at the street as she walked, how she stuck to the shadows, how she ignored everyone else. Easy prey.

He had cornered her in the alley against the wall, taking his chance to quickly discover her mental weaknesses and use them to his advantage. He had brought her to tears in the alley and left her with a dark grin on his face. After he left the alley, he took to the shadows, back to his stalking behavior, able to make himself nearly invisible to all around him. He followed the woman back to her home and got himself in easily. He stayed long enough to watch her take the knife to her wrists and the blood stain the carpet before he decided that he had his fun and he made his way back out to his territory.

Gabriel was pissed.  His creatures knew not to harm one of his own and yet the Rake had decided to do just that.  He’d not made it in time to beat the reaper taking the poor girl to heaven - for suicide was NOT a sin that sent one to hell - so Gabriel settled for the next best thing.

He found the creature in his territory and glared deeply at him.  “You deliberately disobeyed my rules, Rake.”
